Summer is ending and fall is knocking at the door and many of us are feeling rather frustrated and down. I know I do.
Living almost the whole day in my swimsuit and light summer dresses or hot pants and tops is so liberating and fun. Salty hair, no or very little make-up on, light outfits and flip-flops are ready to say goodbye till the next year.
But, before you start your fall wardrobe detox and get the fall/winter clothes out of the boxes or even go shopping for warmer pieces stay with me here and read about few of the styling ideas I prepared on how to wear skirts in summer and in fall.
Black Satin Skirt with Blue Blazer and Green Heels
Skirts are great transition piece because just changing the shoes and adding a jacket or a sweater to it, it could be worn from summer to fall.
This years trend is a classical pencil skirt with a modern twist of course but I decided to add a twist of my own onto this list with my selection of skirts: one maxi, one full circle print skirt, one asymmetrical and two edgy pencil skirts.

Dark pink pencil skirt
When I saw it, it reminded me of the golden age of Hollywood and I just needed to have it. The silhouette you get with it is so sexy and attractive that I’m just in love.
And with oversized white tee and big white sneakers I love it even more. It is easy to style this type of skirt since it is full and rich all by itself so adding one coloured tee, simple blouse or even an oversized sweater is all you need.
To finish fall look I added white see-through rain coat for unexpected fall showers. But it looks so fancy and trendy also without the rain. Doesn’t it?

Golden asymmetrical skirt
This skirt is an experiment.
Why?
Well, I am a symmetry girl. I like my bangs strait and both my hair sides equal. I like a strait hemline and both sleeves on or non of them. I like to have all my nails equal size, so when one is broken all have to go off. Yeah, sounds crazy but that’s me.
And yeah, this skirt is not for me but step into future is step out of your comfort zone so here is my brave try stepping into new things.
Golden Asymmetrical Skirt with Red Boots, Step into Future
For summer I used my ‘safest’ tee (This Audrey Hepburn tee is so old and the colour is washed up but it’s my favourite tee in the world. It seams like it’s made for me, the cut, the print of Audrey’s face, the softness of the fabric, what can I say, if I ever go back to LA again I will buy one full suitcase of them.) and heels that make me tall and strong and that’s it.
With black blouse and blazer and my favourite red ankle boots I thought any skirt would be a good match so why not this golden asymmetrical one.
Tip: if you decided to step out of your comfort zone do it with only one item and make sure that all the other items of your outfit are your ‘safe’ items (items in which you feel confident in) so the overall outfit doesn’t feel strange and uncomfortable.
Leopard print skirt
Ohh this print is one of my favourite ones although I don’t have much leopard print pieces in my closet. I suppose there are not brave enough events and places where I could wear it.
Leopard Print Dress with Zebra Print Shoes
This skirt was actually a dress and I didn’t wear it much so I thought if I cut it in half maybe I will wear the skirt more often. And yes, I do. The fabric is so nice to skin and I love the flow of the wide cut.
To recreate the dress I chose to wear the top and skirt together with a belt and to make it a little bit edgy and crazy I paired it with my zebra sandals.
Fall outfit, in my opinion, had to have some colour in it so I added my new rendezvous tee with blue pumps and created a look that is any fashion magazine ready.
Black satin skirt
During my latest 9 to 5 jobs in hotels I had to wear uniforms, black pants or black pencil skirts with white button up shirts. I escaped those jobs to have more freedom and my own styling business and wearing black pencil skirts now reminds me of those unhappy days.
So, I decided to make a twist on that classic piece with one black, between pencil and A-line, satin skirt.
In summer satin can be too heavy to wear but when it’s the under the waist piece like satin skirt or satin pants it can bring you nice refreshment. At least for me. It’s soft and cool on the skin, exactly needed on the heated skin. The shiny material makes it also very luxurious and glamorous. I sometimes wear satin just to feel that.
For fall add a shiny blazer in any colour or print you like and you are set to conquer the world!

Green maxi skirt
To be honest, almost every time I wear maxi skirt or dress is because I didn’t had time to shave my legs but it’s too hot or not appropriate for jeans or heavy pants. Hahaha, don’t worry, this time all hair is destroyed. Except head hair, of course.
This maxi skirt is in my closet the whole year around because I wear it in all seasons. First of all the colour is so vibrant and positive and paired with right items it can be worn all the time and be very stylish.
My summer outfit is styled with black and gold and for fall I decided to block colour the outfit with pastel peach and nice blue hues. It feels so warm and positive.
In winter just put some warm tights under the dress and add a warm parka with a belt and the outfit is done.
