So I was visiting the Poljud Stadium the other day, maybe better known for hosting the grandiose Ultra Europe Music Festival, one of the greatest ones in electronic music, but I wanted to see the trophies and feel the greatness of the football club Hajduk which lives and plays here. During the visit there was the great article hanging on the wall about Hajduk wining over Manchester United 6-0 long time ago. It was the biggest defeat ever in history of Manchester United.
Seeing the preparations for Ultra Europe I wondered what would be the best outfit to wear for this famous electronic festival to dance and feel good?
I immediately had few ideas which I share here with you but I also have few advices regarding the location and the weather and the event.
1. Put your comfort in front of good looks.
Normally I would suffer for good looks and beauty any time but here, dancing the whole day and night and for minimum three days, it is important to resist the sore legs and back. Dancing can be exhausting.
2. Wear closed shoes although it’s middle summer.
It’s hot and sticky weather and you would like to wear your flip flops but let’s just say it is a little bit dangerous and you don’t want to get injured toes at the end.
3. Take a smallest cross body bag possible. Or smallest backpack.
It is like the greatest rule of all: you need free hands for drinks and dancing!
4. Don’t forget a jacket.
Nights and early mornings can be chilly.
6. Bring your sunglasses.
Sometimes the reflectors are stronger then the sun.
7. Put your swimsuit on!
You’ll need it eventually. Remember, the beautiful transparent sea is very close!
Extra tip: don’t be obsessed with selfies or taking Instagram stories, free your mind and body and dance to some other galaxy!
There are 4 looks that I think are the most common at the Ultra Europe in Croatia and here they are:
1. Romantic look
2. Girly look
3. Sporty look
3. Glam look
What can I say, artists like David Guetta, Carl Cox, Armin Van Buuren, Adam Beyer, Afrojack, Axwell and Ingrosso, Steve Aoki, Tiësto, DJ Snake and more are going to be in Split, Croatia. You can check the details here
Maybe you would never thought that I’m a fan of electronic music but when the rhythm kicks the speakers in my car or at the festival I get in another state of mind and body that only ‘electronic brothers and sisters’ understand. The body starts moving in the rhythm, dancing and swirling around and the mind is somewhere else, in another galaxy. Everything is good and shiny and happy!
So let’s dance in any look you choose!
